Maroon 5 will headline Super Bowl LIII halftime show with Travis Scott & Big Boi

The rumors, as they say, are almost always usually true.

After months of speculation, the NFL revealed Maroon 5 as the official headliners of the Super Bowl LIII halftime show in Atlanta, Georgia. But a televised, pop-centric spectacle like this wouldn’t be complete without a dose of America’s favorite genre — hip-hop.

As an added bonus, Atlanta-native Big Boi and Travis Scott will also be performing during the show. Big Boi, one half of Atlanta-based rap duo Outkast, tweeted a promotional video for the halftime show Sunday. As a rich cultural hub for hip-hop, having an Atlanta artists would only be fitting for this year’s halftime performance.

Justin Timberlake performed at last year’s halftime show, with Beyoncé taking the reins the year prior.
