Tom Morello unleashes blistering 12-track rock/dance crossover LP, ‘Atlas Underground’

Following the release of his politically staunch collaboration with BassnectarKiller Mike, and Big BoiTom Morello now unveils his long-awaited 12-track album, The Atlas Underground. The Rage Against the Machine guitarist had certainly taken his time with his first solo project, but it’s proving well worth the wait.

The incredibly diverse collection features a laundry list of guest artists from EDM, hip-hop, Top 40 and rock, including Knife Party, Portugal. The Man, Whethan, Vic Mensa, Marcus Mumford, Josh Carter of Phantogram, Steve Aoki, K.Flay, Pretty Lights, RZA, Herobust, and many more.

The Atlas Underground comes 26 years after the first Rage Against the Machine album, with Morello attempting to reinsert the relevance of guitar-based music back into the mainstream narrative, while bringing forth a millennial/pop induced spice, with a heavy dose of politically conscious lyrics.

Morello has already been on the road for The Atlas Underground tour, but there are still a few dates left. View the full list of remaining dates, here.
