Spanish DJ Alvaro Vergara proposes ‘Amazing’ new take on Nu-Disco

Having been in the game for over 20 years, nostalgia lies at the heart of Alvaro Vergara‘s approach to mixing. His latest track, “Amazing,” is an electrifying remix of the original 2004 track by George Michael. With acoustic guitars and early 2000s pop sounds swapped out for disco rhythms and silky keys, the remix delves into a vibrant new blend of modernity and nostalgia.

Alvaro, who created the track from his home in Seville, references German producer Purple Disco Machine as a strong influence for him in hitting that perfect mix of House and Nu-disco. “Amazing” was then recorded at the Impulsa Music Center in Seville with the help of talented producer José Ignacio González Pandelet, saxophonist Werner Tucek and the vocals from the lovely MiahLora.
