San Holo announces release date and tracklist for long-awaited debut album
Despite taking the electronic dance music scene by storm years ago, and releasing four EPs along the way, San Holo has been in no rush to release his debut album. Instead, the Dutch DJ/producer launched his own independent imprint, bitbird, as a place to explore the full depths and dynamics of his sound.
He buckled down for a full year to work on his first full-length studio album and from the ashes emerged two brand new tracks that signaled a completely new direction for San Holo. The two indie-leaning dance tracks were the first taste of San Holo’s new album, utilizing organic instrumentation, light-hearted synths, and dreamy vocals. The tracks harken back to his previous future bass hits, “Light” and “We Rise,” but also signal a move into completely new generic territory.
Now San Holo’s 12-track debut album1 sees it’s official release on September 21, with an album-accompanying tour beginning October 31. View the album’s full track list below.
