Snails enlists Kill The Noise, Space Jesus, Virtual Riot, more on ‘The Shell (Remixes)’
Hard to believe nearly a year has passed since Snails released his long-overdue debut album, The Shell. Guided by the notion that all heavy things come to those who wait, the Canadian vomitstep pioneer previously launched his own label, Slugz Music, to give himself and others a platform to release music without the creative constrictions of releasing under a major label.
As a home for all things painstakingly aggressive, Snails’ imprint has just delivered a full remix pack for his debut album, given how heavily Snails’ LP has been remixed over the past year. The Shell (Remixes) draws from a shuffle of notable dubstep producers in FuntCase, Megladon, Svdden Death, Virtual Riot, most of whom of whom have just wrapped stellar performances at The Super Bowl of bass. Stand out tracks on the album include Funtcase’s hearty rendition of “Forever,” Kill The Noise‘s rework of “Only Want U,” and the recent Space Jesus remix of Snails and Big Gigantic’s original title, “Feel the Vibe.”
