Grum releases first single from forthcoming ‘Deep State’ LP, ‘Never Have To Be Alone’
Scotland’s very own Grum has been swimming around the Anjunabeats label for years now. Since releasing his debut album, Heartbeats, in 2010, Graeme Shepherd has been churning out releases that pull audiences down the rabbit hole of trance and techno. Now he’s poised to unleash his second studio LP to the masses this autumn.
Enter: Deep State, Grum’s hypnotic new artist album that draws influences from 90’s rave culture for a bruising take on not just the contemporary dance scene, but the cult lifestyle surrounding it. To celebrate the LP’s forthcoming release, arriving on his home label of Anjunabeats, he’s released a brooding single in “Never Have To Be Alone.” An anthem for collectivism over collusion, the song’s spirit echoes the very mission of the Anjuna family: that of music bringing us together. The song is a reminder of Graeme’s ability to write pop-edged riffs as well as dark hearted records.
