Gesaffelstein & The Weeknd release highly-anticipated collaboration, ‘Lost In The Fire’
When Gesaffelstein released his debut Aleph LP back in October of 2013, the French techno visionary would take a four year long hiatus from making music. That is, with the exception of his two producer credits on The Weeknd‘s My Dear Melancholy LP in early 2018. The two artists displayed a perfect confluence of styles in the tracks “I Was Never There” and “Hurt You” — one that had fans yearning for more collaborations from the two.
Now Gesaffelstein has enlisted The Weeknd to lay down the vocals on “Lost In Fire,” the highly-anticipated track from Gesaffelstein’s upcoming Columbia Records debut, Hyperion, due out some time later this year. The track, which features the R&B star’s recognizable vocals, is a smooth radio-ready ballad that will almost assuredly be making its rounds on the airwaves this year.
Released on a new episode of the Weeknd’s Beats 1 radio show Memento Mori, “Lost In Fire” lands right in time for Gesaffelstein’s sophomore studio album, which has yet to receive a release date. The track follows the lead single from Gesaffelstein’s forthcoming album, “Reset.”
