Deadmau5 previews fully-assembled Cube 3.0 ahead of Ultra Miami debut
Earlier in the year, deadmau5 gave fans a sneak peek into his Cube 3.0 set-up over Twitch. Now he’s shared a glimpse of the production rig in its full assemblage.
While tinkering with TouchDesigner, Zimmerman decided to give Twitch viewers another teaser of the fully-built Cube 3.0 through a live stream. The video, which is now inaccessible due his account being terminated after a using a homophobic slur, revealed the updated cube measuring in at a height and width of 384 feet. That’s a major size upgrade from his Cube 2.1, which premiered in early 2017. After all, the 3.0 version needed to be markedly bigger considering how deadmau5 will first debut the rig at Ultra 2019.
With a little over month to go until Ultra Miami‘s 21st iteration, Zimmerman still has time for some minor tweaks and adjustments, but the major interworkings have been pretty much pinned down up to this point.
