Since SoundCloud announced it’s DJ integration initiative last fall at ADE, the digital service provider has been making giant leaps forward under the Kerry Trainor-led initiative. As SoundCloud’s fearless CEO, Trainor took on aggressively restructuring the company during one of the lower points in its tiny history, and has now yielded $100 million in profit margins in 2018 alone.
Part of Trainor’s plan was to offer virtual integration with the world’s leading DJ software companies, thereby allowing DJ’s to stream and mix SoundCloud’s massive catalogue directly through their performance software. Thus far, SoundCloud has successfully inked deals with Dubset, Serato, Virtual DJ, DEX 3, and now Pioneer DJ on the road towards full-on integration.
SoundCloud’s move serves to maintain their reputation as the heavily favored platform for DJs, who will be able to utilize the integration functionality with a SoundCloud Go+ subscription.
