Northern Nights unveils eclectic 2019 lineup: ZHU, Big Wild, Desert Hearts, SHADES + more

Drive north from San Francisco on California’s iconic Highway 101, and it won’t be long before you’re immersed in the ancient redwood forest. The beautiful coastal climate and towering majestic trees make for a popular outdoor destination. Nestled into the redwood groves is the site for Northern Nights Music Festival.

The full 2019 lineup has just been revealed and there are certainly some exciting developments. Containing a little bit of something for everyone, the festival will feature the Desert Hearts crew and their funky blends of house and techno prominently. There are headlining slots from the legendary Zhu and Foreign Family favorite Big Wild. Alix Perez will bring his drum and bass flavor, as well as his dark, experimental bass project Shades with bandmate EPROM. CharlestheFirst and Minnesota will also be providing their respective unique vibes, and local favorites Date Modified Tomorrow (Mike.iLL and SuDs) will represent the vaunted NorCal experimental bass sound.

The event takes place from July 19-21 at Cook’s Valley Campground, on the border of Humboldt and Mendocino counties. Tickets can be found here.
