Bassnectar announces new location and dates for DejaVoom 2020
Bassnectar has announced the dates and details of his second annual, all-inclusive family vacation festival, DejaVoom. The all-inclusive event, set for March 25-28, 2020, will be a full resort takeover inside Cancún’s Grand Oasis, including three nights of Bassnectar curated music. Anyone who attended this past spring’s inaugural DejaVoom at the celebrated Grand Barcelo Maya will tell you all expectations were blown clear out of the water.
The Barcelo Maya was huge by all accounts, complete with full perimeter security, a shopping mall, over 30 restaurants and bars, a waterpark, and a music festival grounds. The grounds actually felt a lot like entering into a Disney Resort. So naturally many Bassnectar fans are scratching their heads over why organizers made the switch from a five-star resort to a glorified spring break resort with only three stars.
Certainly, the Grand Oasis looks like its own humble little paradise—in fact, the more intimate venue size is its biggest selling point. In 2020, the Grand Oasis will offer a resort 100 percent reserved exclusively for bass heads, making it “a truly immersive takeover,” according to Bassnectar. “‘[We’re] completely remixing the entire property into our own interactive playground.”
Attendees will also be able to take part in the same off-site excursions as 2019, from Mayan Temple and underwater cavern tours to catamaran, ATV, and zip line rides. Packages will go on sale Friday, July 19 at 1pm ET, with payment plans available at 10 percent down and four monthly payments.
