Despite running a label, rounding out Birdhouse Festival this past weekend, and two recent collaborations, Claude VonStroke still manages to make time for himself in the studio. The Dirtybird kingpin has just delivered his first solo EP of the year in Slink.

The mini EP’s title track, which was named Pete Tong’s Essential New Tune this past week, is an uncharacteristic deep house single with a dose of funk. The short player rounds out succinctly another original, “Oh Please Oh Please,” a more tech-driven number with crooning builds, spacey synths, and a catchy vocal hook that pervades the track.

Along with the EP release, Claude VonStroke has also released dates for his fall tour, including notable upcoming stops at Imagine Music Festival and Dirtybird Campout.
