Above & Beyond announce Acoustic III

Above & Beyond release first single from incoming ‘Acoustic III’ LP, announce accompanying tour

The album will include songs from 2018’s ‘Common Ground’ as well as some more recent singles.

Above & Beyond‘s last acoustic tour was more than four years ago, but the iconic trio has announced their newest album, Acoustic III, will arrive this summer. The album will be accompanied by a tour beginning at Alexandria Palace in London before heading off to North America. They’ve also shared the official music video for single, which was recorded before Christmas at the refurbished Alexandra Palace Theatre.

To celebrate, Jono Grant, Tony McGuinness, and Paavo Siljamäki have released the first track from the forthcoming album, titled Flying By Candlelight,” featuring Marty Longstaff (taken from the Common Ground Companion EP). The album will include renditions from Common Ground, including “Northern Soul,” “My Own Hymn” and “Happiness Amplified,” plus reinterpretations of 2019 club singles “There’s Only You” and “Waltz.”

The band has once again enlisted musical director and producer Bob Bradley to arrange and co-produce Acoustic III. “We’ve had some fun with the songs this time. It’s a little more Quincy Jones and a little less orchestral, with some really intimate moments,” explains Bradley.

For every ticket sold, a tree will be planted via One Tree Planted, a non-profit organization that plants trees all over the world to fight climate change and protect biodiversity. Pre-sale tickets will be available here beginning at 10:00am local time on Tuesday, February 11. Fans can also pre-order the album now.
