Stream Ekali’s eighth installment of the ‘Awakening’ mix series

It’s been almost a year and a half since Ekali gave fans the last installment in his Awakening Mix series. After staying rather silent during quarantine, other than his Digital Mirage set, now the melodic future bass maven has returned to mixing with a gorgeous Awakening Mix.8 set.

With track inclusions like Flume and Reo Cragun’s “Rushing Back,” Whethan and Bülow’s “So Good,” What So Not and Kimbra’s “Montreal,” and a standout Ekali edit of Illenium and GØLDN’s “That’s Why” vs. Inzo‘s I’m Dreaming,” the mix is a hopeful reminder that beautiful music is on the horizon. The Canadian producer also includes some of his own IDs, while doing well to include some of his most venerable melodic colleagues from San Holo, shallou, Chet Porter, ford., and more.

But the absolute standout is the mixes final song credit, a Skrillex vs. Porter Robinson & Mat Zo‘s “Summit” vs. “Flicker” Ekali edit. Take a listen below and check out the full tracklist here.
