Josh Teed’s new ‘Deviation’ EP is four tracks of downtempo bliss
CE favorite Josh Teed has been incredibly busy with his newly-minted Taiga Collective, although he still makes time to release on his own. After releasing a stunning remix of CloZee’s “Secret Place,” Teed now turns to Obskure Sound to release his newest four-track EP, Deviation.
Arriving as Teed’s newest cohesive collection of work, the Deviation EP is four tracks of pure downtempo bliss, while venturing into world bass, glitch, tribal, and ambient. The EP’s opening track, “Falling Apart,” centers around a gorgeous piano-led intro which builds to a glitchy ambiance. Then comes the INTHEWOODS-assisted title track, which wrestles around the melodic and the glitched-out, while introducing eastern-influenced elements.
From the EP’s third vocal-led offering, “Whatever We Please” with Vincesmoke,” to the more organic “Finding Balance,” every track on the project has a clear and decisive focus. All roads lead to bliss on Teed’s Deviation, welcoming listeners to sit back, relax, meditate, and find balance.
