Notorious sad boy and all-around stand-up industry friend Illenium has released the official music video for his recent commercial hit collaboration with Angels & Airwaves‘ Tom DeLonge, “Paper Thin.” The visual accompaniment opens the track up to a new storyline, although it fits thematically within the single’s original cover artwork, which features a post-apocalyptic setting. Set in a bleak and desolate world, which is being threatened by an unknown enemy, the “Paper Thin” video exists as a parallel storyline to the “Nightlight” video. Our protagonists find comfort in each other and find meaning in the beautiful things not yet destroyed as they attempt to survive in this new universe.

“Paper Thin” is Illenium’s latest single on his new label, 12Tone Music, following “Nightlight,” an Annika Wells collaboration which landed in August. The track has also received the official remix treatment from LUM!X, Brooks, and Headhunterz, which can also be streamed below.
