Gorgon City rounds out ‘REALM’ EP with a new track + visualizer, ‘Trapdoor’ [WATCH]

House music heavyweights Gorgon City have returned. The UK & Chicago based duo of Kye Gibbon and Matt Robson Scott have become known for their addictive take on bass-driven vocal and deep house. After producing a string of chart hits and underground dance floor moments, the two have carved out a distinct and instantly recognizable sound. Never the kind to stay away from the spotlight for long, the REALM label bosses have revealed a new dancefloor-focused banger, “Trapdoor.” The song round outs Gibbon and Robson’s new four-track REALM EP, which includes some Gorgon City classics.

Their latest single, titled “Trapdoor,” is a playfully euphoric and driving house number. The track was road tested to packed crowds during the Gorgon City REALM club shows in late 2019 and now comes packed alongside three previous label classics. The four-track REALM EP features the smash single “Grooves on The Vinyl,” which also became a staple of Gorgon City’s sets and a certified weapon years ago. Also included on the EP are previously-released singles, “Elizabeth Street” and “Roped In.”

The prolific pair have clocked up over 1.5 billion global streams to their name and close to 10 million singles sold across their career. Gorgon City’s club-focused REALM imprint is home to the duo’s more underground and instrumental house cuts, which often emerge to fans for the first time via the duo’s packed DJ sets. Previous hit tracks of theirs include “Lick Shot,” “Delicious,” “Motorola,” and more.
