For anyone unfamiliar with Ark Patrol‘s success story, his five-year-old catalogue record, “Let Go,” featuring Veronika Redd, has been exploding on TikTok since March of last year. What sparks a catalogue record to gain attention in modern day? Something about “Let Go” is so ethereal and captivating that it can put the listener in a trace. While this past year has felt unreal “Let Go” has teleported listeners to another worldly dimension, and it just continues to take off.

With a refreshing twist on Ark Patrol’s hit, Phantoms, Robotaki, and Late June are remixing the nostalgic viral track, putting their own unique spins on this seemingly timeless record. This remix package features a diverse group of genres and moods. LA-based duo Phantoms will be releasing a high energy house remix that’s bound to be a club hit just in time for summer, Robotaki, infamously known for his past remix work, is delivering a sophisticated and emotive electronic remix, and NZ-based producer Late June’s remix brings an upbeat, emotionally-rich, chill pop sound to the package. 

“It’s always a fun challenge to remix something that’s not only a lot slower than our normal range but also a different time signature. Because of that, I think it ended up becoming something cool that we weren’t even expecting really.”

Late June who is a new signing to the Heroic roster has always been a big fan of Ark Patrol calling him one of his “biggest inspirations.” It was really a dream come true for him to be able to remix his top record. He shares:

“Writing this remix I wanted to draw on the emotions and story I had in my head when I first heard the song in 2014. To me, Ark Patrol has been an incredible source of influence and to be able to work on this has been very cathartic. I wanted to have fun with this remix of Let Go and make something that will stand the test of time just like the original.”

Lastly, Robotaki took this as an opportunity to experiment with something new. In a press release, he revealed, “Playing with a dynamic time signature change in a track has been something I’ve usually tip-toed around, but when hearing this original and getting into the groove, it just felt right!  Was a super fun time working on it and hope everyone enjoys it, chills out to it, and gets hooked on those beautiful vocals”
