New Pendulum & Hybrid Minds collab rounds out DnB legends’ first full body of work in over a decade, ‘Elemental’ EP

At long last, legendary drum-n-bass icons Pendulum have capped off their first official body of work in a decade with the release of the final single to their Elemental EP, “Louder Than Words.” The highly-anticipated single alongside UK electronic outfit, Hybrid Minds, follows previously released singles, “Driver” and “Nothing For Free,” and “Come Alive.”

Rounding out the EP, and arguably the best track on the project, fans have been waiting to see the release of “Louder Than Words” since Pendulum first played it back in October 2020 in their Spitbank Fort set in the middle of the English Channel. The collaboration premiered with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe yesterday, June 16.

Complete with Rob Swire’s vocals and rousing percussive arrangements, along with Hybrid Minds’ unique production flair, Pendulum administers their signature sound into a liquid-leaning selection to create an atmospheric, late-night drive single.

Along with the single, Pendulum released a visual accompaniment set to the sounds of “Louder Than Words.” A cartoon cat and mouse duo deal with a depressing breakup in the music video and, in the process, they experience a psychedelic trip between worlds. Sound reminiscent of the shenanigans of Tom & Jerry? Watch the hybrid live-action and animated music video below as well.
