Heading into their tenth year as a family, the Desert Hearts collective is as quirky, eccentric, and boisterous as ever despite sending the past two years in a full-on global pandemic. They’ve continued to thrive through an otherwise tumultuous year for the industry, taking the Twitch world by storm and reaching tens of thousands of viewers weekly with their “House. Techno. Love” catalog.
Moving into the post-pandemic climate of 2022— one where the CDC is beginning to tell the public that it’s okay to take off their masks— Desert Hearts looks to celebrate ten years this spring, when Desert Hearts Festival moves into its new venue of Lake Perris, California.
Situated roughly two hours outside of Los Angeles and San Diego, Lake Perris State Recreation Area is a serene lakeside oasis surrounded by a suburban topography known as the Inland Empire. As California natives and residents already know, this area encapsulates Palm Springs, Joshua Tree National Park, and the Empire Polo Club, which is where Coachella is held annually.
But Lake Perris is nestled in a mountain-rimmed valley offering amenities including swimming with beach entry, premium campsites, bathrooms with showers, and scenic nature views. Naturally, the move means that the Desert Hearts crew will be saying goodbye to its longtime home at the Los Coyotes Indian Reservation, where amenities were scarce.
Ticket-holders for previous canceled iterations of Desert Hearts Festival can expect general admission, early arrival, car camping passes, and RV camping passes to transfer directly for the 2022 DH event. For all other information and tickets sales, head here.
