EDM fans all over the world know that taking off with psytrance is a journey in itself, but NEOFUN’s newest LP takes the cake! After releasing an exuberant stream of singles in 2023, psytrance producer NEOFUN returns to unleash his second LP, entitled Outer Order. Brace yourself for 8 extended tracks offering up pile-driver beats, hair-raising drops, and out-of-this-world bass lines—all of which are dedicated to the intricacies of nature, Persian culture, extraterrestrials, and beyond.

Standing as a visionary sound designer and electronic music artist with a rich backstory behind him, Erfan Dahresobh is the man behind the NEOFUN moniker. His musical career dates back to when he was a wee “bedroom DJ” during the early aughts global EDM boom—an era dominated by turntables and lingering cassette records. Influenced by DJ Aligator and the German band Scooter, NEOFUN’s early exposure to music became the catalyst for his artistic endeavors.

In 2007, he immersed himself in a music class in Iran, where the scope was largely confined to pop music. Undeterred, NEOFUN independently navigated through the vast world of music. He began producing music for pop and hip-hop artists in Iran, and he faced legal and underground complexities throughout. Despite the many hurdles, NEOFUN established his first personal music studio in Tehran, where he discovered his passion for sound design in movies and the creation of electronic music.

In 2017, he embraced psytrance, blending it with Iranian folk music with the revered poem by MOLANA. It was when Dahresobh found these two genres fit together like puzzle pieces that he adopted the moniker NEOFUN. His debut album, Abyss of Illusion, emerged in 2019, marking a pivotal moment in his artistic evolution. A subsequent 2020 release, Seven Deadly Faults, explored themes of sins and ancient laws, with its standout piece, “Trall,” garnering over 750k views and contributing to the album’s overall success.

Arriving as NEOFUN’s third full-length album, Outer Order poses as a new, introspective dawn for the producer. For NEOFUN, creating music is not merely a means to fill one’s wallet temporarily; it transcends monetary gain. His philosophy centers on doing what you love, finding satisfaction in creation, assisting others, and fostering communication. In NEOFUN’s words,
