Witness the spectacle that is Tomorrowland’s ‘Story of Planaxis’ main stage [WATCH]

With Tomorrowland‘s opening ceremony hours behind us, viewers are now tuning into the Belgium festival’s live stream for a number of performances already given from Oliver Heldensand Axwell Λ Ingrosso to Above & Beyond and DJ Jazzy Jeff.

As with any festival of this size, scale, and production, Tomorrowland has become synonymous with an opening ceremony that is as over-the-top as it is wildly imaginative and meticulously choreographed. The theme for the 2018 gathering is the Story of Planaxis, harpooning itself back to the story of the lost city of Atlantis and offering the producers behind the event a bevy of thematic material to play with. The vast stage design comes with all the detailed inter-workings of a simulated underwater world, towering LED screens, organic fire and water elements, and living acrobats dancing above a crowd of hundreds of thousands.
