Lollapalooza partners with Red Bull TV for 4-channel live stream
As Lollapalooza ascends once again onto Chicago’s Grant Park this weekend, August 2–5, those not able to attend the 4-day event are in luck. The festival has announced it will be partnering with Red Bull TV to bring viewers 4 live channels to watch the massive summer time event happenings in real time.
While 3 channels will feature reporter-led live coverage, the 4th channel will offer live streams of festival sets via virtual reality over the Red Bull Music YouTube page. The new streaming installment — made possible by C3 Presents, Live Nation, and Google‘s own AR/VR team — will “virtually transport fans from anywhere, in real time to the front row at Lollapalooza.”
Lolla’s 2018 edition boasts a larger-than-life lineup, with headliners The Weeknd, Bruno Mars, Jack White, Arctic Monkeys, Travis Scott, Logic, ODESZA, and Vampire Weekend — all of whom will be featured on the live stream. The live broadcast will also include sets from notable electronic acts Tycho, Illenium, Rusko, REZZ, and many more.
Coverage begins Thursday, August 2, at 6 pm CST, and continues throughout the weekend until Sunday, August 5.
Streaming will be available here.
