Martin Garrix releases new single ‘High on Life’ during Tomorrowland closing set

It’s no secret that the late Tim Bergling was an inspiration to STMPD Records founder, Martin Garrix. The now-22-year-old wunderkind even recently got a tattoo in tribute to Avicii. So it came as no surprise that when Garrix debuted a brand new single while closing out the final day of Tomorrowland 2018, the song’s production sounded a lot like a classic Avicii track.

The new track with vocalist Bonn is a pop/progressive crossover composition called “High On Life,” and it is every bit as hopeful and inspirational as it is perfectly-suited to light up large festival stages around the world. Bonn’s voice is also perfectly-suited to compliment the song’s crossover appeal — a style which Garrix has become synonymous with through songs like “Scared To Be Lonely” and “There For You.”

While closing out Sunday night, Garrix invited Bonn onto Tomorrowland’s main stage to perform the song live under a star lit and fireworks filled sky. Watch the full track below. Listen to Martin Garrix’s full Tomorrowland 2018 set here.
