If there is one midwest festival that can be described as a juggernaut as of late, it’s the Essential Productions and Papadosio partnered event, Resonance. Touching down annually in Papadosio’s home state of Ohio, the transformational gathering has drawn a hybrid jam, electronic, and bass crowd to Legend Valley in Thornville, Ohio. This year’s event is set to take place September 20-23.

After helming the festival for almost half a decade, Papadosio will making a total of 4 live set appearances over the weekend (including an acoustic set, and an all improv set). Make room for Dave Tipper at the top of the bill, with 2 set offerings, including a sunrise set; two sets from The Floozies duo; as well as The Disco Biscuits, Sound Tribe Sector 9, and Emancipator rounding out the headlining talent roster. Other notable acts include Beats Antique, SunSquabi, CloZee, Random Rab, Eoto, and the Manic Focus Live Band.

But glitch-hop, bluegrass, and jamtronica are not the only impressive aspect of this year’s expertly curated line-up. Resonance is also the place for top-tier experimental bass music, with bass aficionados Desert Dwellers, Phuture Primitive, Thriftworks, Mr. Bill, and Edamame at the helms. With a talent pool as top-notch as this, Resonance is positioning themselves to become a must-see event in the Midwest.
