Since Swedish House Mafia‘s reunion at Ultra Music Festival, talk of a possible world tour seem to spark a wildfire of rumors anytime one of the trio members make any move. When Steve Angello joined Sebastian Ingrosso during his set at Tomorrowland‘s Freedom stage, those rumors were jumpstarted like a beating heart coming back from a flatline.

To be certain, talk over an impending SHM reunion never flatlined. Rather, a reunion tour now seems more like an inevitability than a possibility — what with Axwell, Ingrosso, and Angello each informally confirming the news at some point over the past few months.

The most recent SHM uproar comes in the form of an interview with Steve Angello and Dutch publication De Telegraaf. Apparently, Angello told the source that the group will perform at Tomorrowland next year “by any means necessary.”

“By any means necessary,” is the turn of phrase to keep under the microscope here since, in Dutch, it formally translates more closely to “if it’s up to us.”

While Angello’s comment should not be taken as confirmation of an official Tomorrowland 2019 booking, it seems to triangulate the highly suspect, although formally unconfirmed return of SHM.

With Tomorrowland only recently wrapping their Planaxis event, and releasing dates for their smaller Tomorrowland Winter event in France, the company behind the behemoth festival (ID&T) have certainly not yet begun the booking process for it’s 2019 edition in Boom, Belgium.
