HARD’s Day Of The Dead makes triumphant return to the heart of Downtown LA
When HARD debuted it’s newly-branded Halloween weekend festival, Day Of The Dead, Gary Richards was still running the show. That was in 2012. Following the deaths of two attendees in 2014, the festival was forced to re-group, switch locations from downtown LA to the Pomona Fairplex, and cap the event to a 21+ entry. Then, after 2015, the HARD-branded event hadn’t seen the light of day.
Now HARD Events, under the direction of Live Nation and Pasquale Rotella’s Insomniac Events, has confirmed the return of Day Of The Dead (DOTD) in 2018. What’s better, the event is being resurrected to its original venue at the LA State Historic Park.
Of course, the event cannot conflict with Insomniac Events’ other Halloween festival, Escape: Psycho Circus. So, HARD’s DOTD is currently slated as a one-day event, taking place the following weekend, November 3.
More info on line-up and ticketing can be found on HARD DOTD’s website.
No official lineup has been released, but there has been one curious, un-confirmed line-up to surface over the web. Judging by the headliners in Skrillex, Deadmau5, and Gesaffelstein, the artist billing does seem to fall into what one would expect to see from a usual HARD booking pool; although the leak could be a complete fake.
