Ekali debuts 6-track ‘Crystal Eyes’ on OWSLA, Big Beat, & Atlantic
Ekali is one swiftly rising act that has been captivating ear drums and tugging heart strings with his charming productions. Why? Because they are as fully honest as they are completely effortless in their construction. It’s the kind of unique sound design that has allowed the Vancouver-based producer to work alongside ZHU, TroyBoi, Skrillex and landed him on festival line-ups like Coachella and Shambhala.
Now Ekali’s debut EP, Crystal Eyes, has officially landed today on OWSLA/Big Beat/Atlantic. The 6-track project includes some noteworthy collaborations in the SLUMBERJACK-assisted “Helios,” the previously released “Leaving” with Yuna, and the sparkling new track with Medasin and Elohim, “Forever.” The latter track is a standout of the EP for it’s soothing lo-fi lyrical content, glittering chords, chill trap percussive elements, and all-around clean and fluid sound design.
Ekali’s EP release coincides with a 20-date North American tour, making stops this fall in Los Angeles, Seattle, Denver, Chicago, Brooklyn, Dallas, and more along the way.
