Ekali unleashes seismic Skrillex trap ID on the road [WATCH]
Sonny Moore has returned to the forefront of mainstream EDM consciousness — not that he ever officially left. Since announcing Skrillex‘s return to the dance music world via a jam-packed NYE run at Snowta, Decadence, and it’s Arizona satellite fest, the OWSLA don has been making headlines nearly every week.
Now Ekali is sharing the spotlight with his OWSLA label mate via a seismic Skrillex ID that he dropped on his crowd during his Crystal Eyes tour on Sunday night. Thanks to one reddit user, a short snippet of the song’s build up and drop is now available widely to the masses. Still awaiting an official title, the supercharged single is an undisputed trap anthem featuring rising vocalist Dounia, and is rumored to land on Skrillex’s highly-anticipated next album.
Given how Sonny has officially remixed Ekali’s “Babylon” in the past, it seems the two OWSLA label mates are swapping unreleased tunes to test on their crowds. As for when Skrillex plans to release his album, much is still up in the air. But if it’s anything like his forthcoming collaboration with JOYRYDE, it’ll be well worth the wait.
