DJ Mag’s “Top 100 DJs” poll award ceremony took place last night at the Amsterdam ArenA, which marked the penultimate night of ADE week, with over 400 events and 2,000 artists hitting the stage over five days.

While the list has become somewhat of a bother to many dance music fans and industry professionals, with spots usually secured by political campaigning, it is a still a noteworthy list at least for the mere sake of humor.

This year’s results signaled a shakeup of the top ten, marking the first year that the top five haven’t been dominated by Dutch DJs. While Martin Garrix and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike retained their No. 1 and No. 2 spots respectively, Marshmello cracks the tenth spot, Oliver Heldens makes his return to the top ten after being ousted last year, and Don Diablo finally breaks in.

Tiësto finds himself rounding out the top five. It’s the first time he’s seen himself in the top ten since 2002. The Chainsmokers also fell 25 places, making a significant drop from the sixth spot last year to No. 31 in 2018. Each a mogul in their own right, David Guetta, Armin van Buuren, and Hardwell rounded out the top five as expected.
