Known as the godfather of all that is weird and wonderful across the bass music world, WAKAAN owner Liquid Stranger is a man who needs to introduction. The man behind the moniker is Martin Staaf, a producer who earned his reputation defying genre and crafting mouth watering extra-terrestrial journeys into the bass music abyss.

Previously, Liquid Stranger gave us but a small taste of what was to come from his Polarity EP with the mid-summer release of “Gunslinger.” Now fans can finally sink their teeth into the biting new six-track project, out now on his very own imprint.

Choked full of expertly constructed collaborations and one solo offering, the Polarity EP is sure to satiate any WAKAAN fans’ most carnal cravings. From a heavy, breakbeat collaboration with Bleep Bloop on “Paranoid,” to the slapping trap-induced single with Shlump on“Creature,” to a light-hearted, funk-fueled adventure with Freddy Todd on “Saturn Cruiser,” Staaf highlights each producer’s unique sound design while integrating his own sonic genius. He weaves in and out with jaw dropping drum lines, ferocious wubs and enchanting synth structures melded amongst each other.

Listen to Liquid Stranger’s Polarity EP below and stay tuned for an even larger release that he says will mark his longest piece of material to date. Also, be on the lookout for that rumored WAKAAN festival news.
