Avicii wins Best Swedish Act at the 2018 MTV European Music Awards
Since Avicii’s untimely death earlier this year, his legacy remains strong as the face of the mental health awareness movement in the music industry. Beyond that, the late Swedish DJ/producer has been racking up the post-humous honors in his leave.
Now Avicii can add one more trophy to his fireplace in the sky with the 2018 MTV EMA (European Music Award) accolade for Best Swedish Act.
From Best Dance Video award for “Lonely Together” at the MTV VMAs to jumping to the 15th spot on the DJ Mag Top 100 poll to countless DJs dedicating tributes to his memory in their sets all year, Avicii is a name that will live on in dance music forever.
