Manila Killa teams up with Masonair to deliver indie-electronic gem, ‘Wake Up Call’
It seems like only yesterday that fans got the news of Hotel Garuda‘s break-up immediately following their Electric Forest appearance. Since, then both artists have been focusing on their respective solo careers, with Manila Killa working on his debut EP.
Since releasing his forthcoming debut EP’s leading single in “Run Away,” Manila Killa returns with another glistening indie-electronic gem, entitled “Wake Up Call.” The Filipino producer has enlisted Aussie three-piece band Mansionair for help on the track. Featuring Mansionair’s airy vocals and dreamy melodies, along with Manila Killa’s lo-fi soundscapes and catchy off-beat drum work, the track gleans towards 80s synthpop magic that will surely get listeners up moving and shaking.
No official release date has been assigned to Manila Killa’s debut EP, which will arrive on the producer’s co-founded Moving Castles label.
