The Friday Wrangler: Today’s new music arrivals from Above & Beyond, Gryffin, Jauz, Mercer, Illenium, Kaskade, and many more
Friday in the music industry is the biggest day of the week. Not only does it mark the beginning of the weekend’s many live shows ahead, but it also brings a succession of new music from some of electronic music’s biggest artists. This week, there’s just so much good music arriving that we’ve decided to cluster it all up in our inaugural edition of The Friday Wrangler.
From Above & Beyond‘s first collaboration since 2010, to Illenium‘s highly-anticipated Halsey remix, to so many more, here’s a selection of newly released tracks from today, November 30, that shouldn’t be missed.
Following its radio premiere on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show last week, 5-time Grammy-nominated artist Axwell has unleashed his newest progressive number, “Nobody Else” via Axtone and Ultra Music.
Coming as Above & Beyond’s first original collaboration single in over seven years, the production powerhouse have linked up with prolific San Franciscan, Spencer Brown. “Long Way From Home” features the vocals of RBBTS (Anne Kalstrup & Hendrik Burkhard). Debuted at Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy 300 celebrations in Hong Kong, the song is a gentle, melancholic wave of undulating melodies, underpinned by the quartet’s rounded, dance floor-ready sound.

After sharing his forthcoming LP’s leading single last month, Gryffin returns with another feel good love ballad that is sure to ignite further excitement about his debut album’s impending release. “Bye Bye” features the catchy vocals of Ivy Adara and is out now on Darkroom/Geffen Records.
Jauz has completely transformed marshmello‘s record-breaking hit with Bastille, “Happier.” The Bite This label head’s remix adds his own unique flair with choppy drums, dramatically altered tempo, muted vocals, and overall moody appeal.
Gearing up for their Polychome LP release, out next week on December 7th, KOAN Sound is building anticipation with the newly-released single, “Viridian Dream.” With melodic dream-like sounds woven together with a wonky bassline and DnB synths, the track is a full five minute ethereal listening experience.
ODESZA have released the deluxe edition of their seminal A Moment Apart album, which includes a standout VIP remix of “Memories That You Call” with Golden Features.
Mr. Bill returns to mau5trap for an eerie original single, “Apophenia.”
Keys N Krates have revealed a Live in Toronto version of their Cura album, which marks a different direction for the trap artists. Our favorite on the album is “Music To My Ears,” featuring soulful grooves from the legendary Chris Karns.
After much anticipation since Illenium dropped his unreleased remix of Halsey‘s “Without You,” fans are now treated to its official, studio-mastered rendition.
Kaskade is releasing a deluxe edition of his hit holiday album, Christmas, with the standout track, “Cold December.”
Mercer puts down the dark house beats and explores a more chill, dynamic range with “Boss.”
DROELOE and Fytch blend trap with indietronica in their most recent collaborative effort, “Through The Storm”
Haywyre is gearing up for his EP release with a unique video of him jamming out on the keys in “Square One.”
