Listen to Rüfüs Du Sol’s debut Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1

It’s hard to say whose had a better year in electronic music more than Rüfüs Du Sol. The Australian three-piece indietronica band has released what could easily go down as the year’s top album in their third studio effort, Solace.

This past weekend, the newly US-residents took to the airwaves at BBC Radio 1 to deliver their first-ever Essential Mix. The guest spot covers the full range of music that has been motivating and inspiring them as of late, including Icarus’ beautiful remix of Martin Solveig’s “Places,” a mashup of Joeski’s “Need You More” and Bicep’s “Drift,” and Cassian‘s debut track on the group’s newly-formed Rose Avenue imprint, “Lafayette.”

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Rüfüs mix without their seminal track “Interbloom,” a VIP club edit of their Solace track, “Eyes,” and an Adam Port remix of “Underwater.” Put simply, the spot is two full hours of mellow, organic house bliss.
