Go behind-the-scene of Illenium’s Red Rocks performance in his web series, Ignite E4

For Illenium, it all started at Red Rocks. When the newly-uprooted San Fransisco native first stepped into the world-famous amphitheater for a Bassnectar show, Nick Miller’s whole musical journey was ignited suddenly in that moment. Now he calls Denver home.

“It was right in between those rocks where I first experienced that feeling,” says Illenium in the episode. “It’s absolutely one of the most special places to be. So it’s kind of coming full circle.”

How fitting that his aptly-named web series, Ignite, covers his first sold-out Red Rocks performance. For Miller’s fourth episode, fans are taken behind-the-scenes as Illenium, his Awake bandmates, and entire audio-visual team work 12-hour-days in the weeks leading up to his biggest Awake 2.0 stop of the year.

“I’ve poured my heart into this in hopes of giving people an experience that they can really feel and that they can really connect with… and to premiere it at the place where it all started for me doesn’t feel real.”

The four minute promotional video follows the crew from the rehearsal arena all the way up until the closing moments of his show, with Miller narrating his artistic process the whole step of the way.

“The story behind it all comes from my own journey and my own struggles. and I do my best to translate those experience into my own music. I think that’s what people relate most to. Where ever they are in life, hopefully my music can be some sort of escape and I want them to feel like they’re not alone.”
