Gesaffelstein – Aleph (Drezo Remix)
Little time has passed since Gesaffelstein began his reentrance into mainstream consciousness with a new single and music video for “Reset,” along with an album announcement. Now, fresh off supporting REZZ along her Certain Kind of Magic tour, Drezo has taken on one of techno’s beacons.
The Los Angeles bass house newcomer has remixed the title track on Gesaffelstein’s debut Aleph LP, which arrived over five years ago on Parlophone/OWSLA/Bromance Records. Drezo brings a completely new flavor to “Aleph” with dynamic synth work, dark, ethereal soundscapes, and of course a sinister bassline.
The remix not only marks Drezo’s first release in over ten months, it’s a statement that he’s poised for taking on some rather defining works, while also staying true to his own powerful underground sound of house music. Drezo has more new music on the horizon, including a collaboration with REZZ in 2019.
