FriendShip to set sail again in January 2020
After wrapping its maiden voyage last month, FriendShip has officially announced its return to the high seas. Yet, in an interesting turn, the event won’t be scheduled for another mid-December return.
FriendShip’s curator, Gary Richards (aka Destructo), took to Instagram recently to thank friends and fans for the birthday wishes, which he just celebrated at the turn of the new year. Richards also took the time to announce the next iteration of his newest cruise liner soiree.
“Save the date,” writes Destructo. “FriendShip will return January 6-10, 2020. Everyone on the Maiden Voyage will have first dibs. More details to follow soon.”
The announcement makes a rather strong statement considering how Holy Ship 12.0’s current installment is scheduled to embark on those very dates in 2019. As the founder of the popular Caribbean winter time cruise party, Richards was formerly stripped of his HARD brand by Live Nation in a highly public way. It seems Destructo is here to stake his claim on his original weekend in a bold way.
The inaugural FriendShip was a massive success, boasting a lineup with RÜFÜS DU SOL, Boys Noize, Dixon, Claptone, and many more on its voyage from Miami to the Bahamas’ CocoCay.
