Known for his exceptional bent on freeform bass, Liquid Stranger is fresh off delivering his only coveted downtempo set of the past year at Coalesce NYE in San Fransisco. In 2019, the Wakaan label boss is taking some time to focus on his own projects.

He’s got his Infinity LP underway, with plans to release an album-accompanying tour along the way. As a taster of what to expect from his forthcoming project, Liquid Stranger has tapped Atlanta-based singer/songwriter Leah Culver for his first release of the year, “Burn Like The Sun.”

Culver brings her powerful vocals to the stirring electronic cut, which compliments Liquid Stranger’s highly versatile left field sound with stuttering perfection. The track is a bit melodic for Liquid Stranger, but a weighty bassline, dynamic drum rolls, and dazzling fluidity are the backbone of this single.
