Skrillex & Hikaru Utada compose beautiful ballad for Kingdom Hearts III trailer
It seems Porter Robinson isn’t the only electronic music producer enamored with Japanese anime. Skrillex and Utada Hikaru’s highly-anticipated Kingdom Hearts III collaboration, “Face My Fears,” has finally been revealed. Game developer Square Enix released the cinematic opening for the upcoming game, currently set for a January 25 release. The teaser features a one-minute snippet of the song.
The unlikely collaboration has unique beginnings. According to the game’s official Twitter account, Skrillex initially wanted to remix Hikaru’s “Don’t Think Twice,” which will serve as the main theme for the game, but the two settled on creating an original song instead.
