Swedish House Mafia signs with new management, still on the search for a label home
On the brink of their global comeback, Swedish House Mafia‘s longtime manager Amy Thomson previously parted ways, although she still speaks fondly of her time with the Swedish superstar trio.
That was last August and now Ron Lafitte has taken the helms under the banner of Patriot Management, a company who also represents Pharrell Williams, Ryan Tedder and OneRepublic, Soundgarden, and Backstreet Boys.
Swedish House Mafia is still on the hunt for a new label, although many predict they will likely sign again with Universal Music Group, since the bulk of their previous releases were recorded and distributed through the imprint.
Rumors have also surfaced that Swedish House Mafia may become residents at Wynn Nightclub, following both Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso accepting residency deals at the Las Vegas club. However, insider sources revealed to Variety the possibility is highly unlikely. Still, fans are holding out for a surprise guest appearance by the three on one stage.
Just before announcing their global reunion tour, which so far includes nine dates between May and August, it surfaced that Swedish House Mafia has been back in the studio. Fans can expect new music after the three find the right label nest.
