The Friday Wrangler: Steve Aoki & ODESZA release remix packs, Chrome Sparks takes on Major Lazer + new music from Feed Me, Kygo, David Guetta & Nicky Romero, Tritonal, more
Friday in the music industry is the biggest day of the week. Not only does it mark the beginning of the weekend’s many live shows ahead, it also brings a succession of new music from some of electronic music’s most visible artists. This week, there’s just so much good music arriving that we’ve gathered it all together for you in our next edition of The Friday Wrangler.
This week marks the release of two high-powered remix packages in Steve Aoki’s Neon Future III Remixes, with contributors Will Sparks, Matoma, DVBBS, Alan Walker, and more. ODESZA also releases a 6-track A Moment Apart Remixes, of which we’ve featured in the playlist with Chet Porter‘s “Line of Sight” remix.
Some individual remixes also make the list: Chrome Sparks takes on Major Lazer and Amber Coffman’s “Get Free,” CamelPhat remixes Mile Kane’s ” Coup De Grace, and Robin Schulz provides a new cut of Calvin Harris and Rag’n’Bone Man’s hit, “Giant.”
Liquid Stranger bestowed fans with his whopping 30-track Infinity LP. The Wakaan boss teamed up with rising bass producer Chee on the album’s last track, “Zero Frontier.” Feed Me releases another original single off his upcoming album, called “Sleepless.”
As for collaborations, GRiZ and Matisyahu have teamed up on the uplifting rasta track, “A New Day,” David Guetta and Nicky Romero unleash a hard-hitting dancefloor stomper in “Alarm,” and Ekali and 1788-L have finally mastered their highly-anticipated track, “RUIN.”
Gareth Emery enlists Ashley Wallbridge and PollyAnna on “Lionheart,” Tritonal calls on vocalist Ryann for “Hard Pass,” Walker & Royce grabs VNSSA for “WORD,” and Hex Cougar captures Sarak Skinner’s haunting vocals on “Silence.”
Finally, Armin van Buuren releases “Lonely For You” and Wolfgang Gartner stuns with “Ectoplasm.”
