G Jones, Cashmere Cat, Chrome Sparks, more listed for Porter Robinson’s Second Sky Music Festival
In a successful attempt to hush some of the unwanted controversy surrounding Multiverse‘s abrupt name change, Porter Robinson has begun releasing Second Sky’s headliners with much excitement.
Taking to his socials daily to announce each personally, one-by-one, Robinson has already revealed quite the diverse lineup. So far, G Jones, Cashmere Cat, Chrome Sparks, and Nina Las Vegas are all on board to bring a different flavor to the one-day festival.
In addition to playing his only Worlds sets of 2019, Robinson is bringing in a heavy dose of K-pop to further bridge his love of Asian culture with an American flavor. Fans will find Kero Kero Bonito, ANAMANAGUCHI, and, most recently, Wednesday Campanella added to the line-up. He raved about frontwoman KOM_I as “such a fearless and infectious performer” in a recent Instagram post:
“they first came to my attention after the buzz of their 2016 SXSW performance,” he goes onto explain. “(there’s a lot of legends about it — the rumor was that her show got shut down by the police so she kept playing her show from the back of someone’s bike). the music is tough to classify — i recommend going to watch any of of their many spectacular music videos.”
At the current rate, all artists for Second Sky will be revealed by Tuesday, March 12. Those registered for pre-sale will receive an email with a link to purchase tickets on Wednesday, March 13 at 10:00am PDT.
