Here’s sneak peek aerial footage of the Ultra Music Festival main stage
The worldwide electronic dance music festival, Ultra Music Festival (UMF), has faced massive adversity to get the ball rolling on this year’s event. After being booted from home base at Bayfront Park in downtown Miami, festival organizers found new grounds on Virginia Key, causing land grant lawsuits and environmental concerns in the process.
Despite all its uphill battles, UMF’s place in the Miami community has a strong, supportive foundation for the most part. Local environmentalists are rooting for UMF organizers to protect the local aquamarine life surrounding the Virginia Key, watching closely to see the impact this coming weekend’s activities will have on the fragile wetlands and aquatic life living and flourishing within it.
It would appear Ultra has finally overcome all its hurdles, and Miami Music Week is officially in full swing, only time will tell how swimmingly everything comes to pass. After all, as any festival organizer knows, throwing such a mass-scale global event is not without its hiccups and constant problem-solving.
With so much anticipation surmounting online, the exciting news finally came when aerial drone footage leaked over Reddit showing off the festival construction underway. Inside, the festival’s main stage is pictured—and it sure closely resembles the Ultra 2016 main stage.
Stay tuned this weekend for all breaking news coverage of Ultra’s 22nd iteration this weekend, March 28-30. With Winter Music Conference, Miami Music Week, and the Ultra cap-off celebration drawing in hundreds of thousands from around the globe, there’s always a spectacle of events that unfold on one of the world’s most visible “EDM” stages.
