Virtual Self slotted to open Second Sky Music Festival with club system set

In less than two weeks, Porter Robinson‘s very-first curated music festival begins to take shape. The highly anticipated event, dubbed Second Sky, will see Cashmere Cat, Madeon, G Jones, Chrome Sparks, and Virtual Self, and more touch down in Oakland, California. Perhaps most exciting, Porter Robinson will be performing his only Worlds live set of the year.

Now Robinson has thrown a wrench in everyone’s plans by slotting his acclaimed Virtual Self alter-ego to open the festival at noon PST each day. The idea of early performance is meant to encourage early attendance at the event, ensuring fans are there for the other early acts booked for the day.

Virtual Self’s mid-day appearance will be a shortened “club system” set, as Porter Robinson revealed to a fan over Twitter, further stating the set length will be at or around 30 minutes in length.

Second Sky takes place June 15-16, with Robinson adding an additional day due to extremely high ticket demand and record sell out times.
