particNot did Second Sky Festival go off without a hitch this past weekend, it’s dominated the headlines over the past few days. From Porter Robinson’s only Worlds set of the year, to Madeon’s set filled with IDs from his upcoming album and a Shelter reboot, to Skrillex’s secret special guest appearance, the Goldenvoice produced event has been named a massive success.
When G JONES was not able to perform his set on the added second day of the event, fans began speculating over who would be delivering the heavy bass. Rumors suggested llenium, Slander, San Holo, among others would sub in. However, when the time came, Robinson brought his loveable blue character, Potaro, on stage to reveal Skrillex under the costume.
Not only that, the two artists went back-to-back with each other at a Second Sky afterparty in town, which was captured via a fan’s Snapchat story and reposted to Twitter, thanks to the folks at YourEDM. Given how Skrillex brought even more star power to Second Sky, it’s no wonder why Porter Robinson announced that the event would return for another year. Fans are only hoping more videos of the surprise b2b surface soon.
