Excision and Illenium tease second studio collaboration in Denver
When Excision and Illenium managed to seamlessly weave their disparate production styles on “Gold (Stupid Love),” the song immediately became a fan favorite. The past collaborators were scheduled to do their first-ever back-to-back set at Global Dance Festival this past month, but due to inclement weather, they were unable to perform. The highly-anticipate b2b performance will now go on at Lost Lands this September.
When they two caught wind of their set cancellation, the Denver resident and visitor used their time wisely in what appears to be Nick Miller’s at-home studio, as evidenced by a warm Pheonix mural painting on the wall. Of course, they publicized the follow-up collaboration on their socials, which sparked massive anticipation right out of the gate. With their first b2b postponed for September, fans can expect to hear a cut of the track out at Legends Valley as the two take to the Lost Lands mainstage.
Denver fam, it really sucks GDF was cancelled today! Nick & I have gone through every option with our teams and weren’t able to come up with a solid option tonight on such short notice with all of the logistics required. But we are in the studio & not putting this time to waste! pic.twitter.com/JihlEa9GYH
