Kill Paris enlists Ohio Players frontman Dutch Robinson on funkadelic single, ‘Played Out’

Earlier this year, Kill Paris released his sophomore Galaxies Within Us LP, which was an odious play on his debut studio work, Galaxies Between Us. After an album accompanying sprint tour, followed by months of relative silence, the Monstercat favorite returns with a new single to broaden his line of funky, glitchy dance music.

The track, titled “Played Out,” enlists the help of legendary Ohio Players lead singer, Dutch Robinson, who Kill Paris calls a personal hero of his. The single’s combination of classic soul and modern-day electro-funk may not be one many have heard before from a label like Monstercat Uncaged, but there’s a first time for everything. More than that, the song’s cheeky title and its all-out-funkadelic vibe is one that puts Kill Paris’ ability to stretch the envelope on full display.
