Global trance moguls Above & Beyond have recently taken on the ambient world with a celebrated 10-track easy listening album, Flow State. The LP was meant for use in yoga and meditative practice and was first played live during the trio’s recent Group Therapy Weekender, which took place at the Gorge Amphitheatre in Washington last month.

Now Paavo Siljamäki, one-third of Above & Beyond, joins Phil Taggart on his BBC Radio 1-hosted Chillest Show for a highly relaxing guest spot mix. The two first engage in a short interview where Paavo joins with tons of positive energy coming off a “great meditation” where he says he feels “very recharged.” He also elaborates on the inspiration for Flow State, a 17-track project whose genesis began at Burning Man in 2014 when Above & Beyond was asked to deliver a special yoga set. When the trio uploaded the playa set to SoundCloud, it would receive 2 million views, giving the guys the idea to put out a full-length studio album to guide listeners in detaching from the busy outside world.

Beginning about an hour into the show, and spanning roughly 30 minutes, the mix includes cuts from John Hopkins, Peter Gabriel, Hobo Johnson, as well as cuts from Above & Beyond’s original Burning Man yoga set that inspired their Flow State LP.
