Adventure Club and Said The Sky soar on melodic dubstep cut, ‘Already Know’

When it comes to the melodic bass movement, few acts stand out more than Montreal party boys Adventure Club. The Grammy-nominated production duo were practically the pioneers of combining heavy dubstep drops with soaring melody lines. It was a practice that was quickly picked up on by many dance music newcomers at the time, most recognizably Seven Lions, Illenium, and Said The Sky.

As for the latter artist, today must be a dream come true for Said The Sky as the Denver-based musician teams with the Canadian duo on a new dubstep anthem that is dripping with as much euphoria as it has nostalgia. Together with Caly Bevier on vocals, the collaborative three-piece make for the perfect team on “Already Know,” out now on Ultra Records.

Amid emotional highs and budding bass lines, Caly Bevier brings angelic overtones to the record as Said The Sky and Adventure Club concoct a masterfully emotional, yet heavy, sonic terrain that allow her vocals to truly soar. In fact, one cannot help but feel as if they are soaring back into the early 2010s while listening to the track.

The track lands as the perfect follow up to Adventure Club’s most recent release, “Next Life,” a collaboration with Crankdat and Krewella. Said The Sky is also coming off two high-profile collaborations this summer — “Potions” with Slander and “Sad Songs” with long-time friend Illenium on his ASCEND LP.
